Hello!
My name is Shamam and I’m 16 years old (that’s me on the left). I live in the capital of Sweden, which is Stockholm. My nationality is Kurdistan, but I am born and raised in Sweden.
Right now I’m in my third year in High school. I’m an “Angel” in my school, and by that I mean that I’m one of the people who make sure that everything is calm and that no one is being teased. It’s not easy all of the time, but usually myself or one of the 14 other Angels manage to solve the problems OK.
You don’t get to choose if you want to be an Angel, the teachers and the pupils nominate you. If you are considerate and pleasant and treat the other pupils and teachers with respect then you have a good chance of becoming an Angel. Of course you can politely decline the offer, but I can say that it is a very good possibility for your future. You get to be an Angel when you are in ninth grade, so you have three years to prove that you are ready to be an Angel.
It’s fun actually - we get to meet lots of other students from all over the world and we get to go on different trips.
I think that all the schools around the world should implement the Angel system. There are many schools that have been inspired when they have read about our school and many have implemented our system at their schools.
